Hello Fiberlovers!

What lovely weather we are having here in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. It almost feels like Fall..I hope it lasts until Fall! Are you deep into your Summer knitting projects? It’s not too early to begin those holiday gifts; seems the end of the year sneaks up on us every so quickly. Please check our website at www.yarnstodyefor.net . In the future, our newsletter will be on the website only and we will not be emailing it individually.

For your busy knitting schedule, socks are especially nice to carry, they don’t take up much space and everyone is curious when they see someone knitting socks. We have some marvelous sock yarns for you. Have you seen the Booby Sock kits? They are pink and benefit breast cancer research.really cute! Denise Arcuri will be teaching a sock knitting class beginning next week. Check below for details under Classes.

If you are a felter with a penchant for handbags, I have dyed a variety of silks for linings in bags. You can match your lining when you choose your yarns, or match your finished bag. They are in one-yard lengths, 45″ wide. You can do a lot of linings with a yard of silk. What a pleasure to open your bag and see the “matching” hand painted silk lining.

SALE: We are trying to clear our inventory before the Fall and Winter yarns arrive. Come in and check our latest additions to the sale room, all yarns there are 20% off.

You can find yarns that we carry, or can get for you, at the following websites. If we don’t have it on the shelf, we will gladly order for you. New yarns are arriving almost daily. We also subscribe to a Skeins List , which gives us an opportunity to find discontinued and out of date yarns as well. If it can be found, we’ll find it - and for you who live out of town, we will ship it to you.

Hand Dyed yarns from Donna: NEWLY DYED YARNS are hanging under the triple light in the middle of the upstairs showroom. They are in a variety of colors and yarns. The merino wool is superwash and very desirable for sock knitting on #1 or #2 needle. If you’d like to learn how to dye yarns, check below under Classes.

SOCKS ARE HOT! We are carrying some of the hottest sock yarn you’ve ever seen. And to show off those hand knitted socks, we now have clear clogs! Get’em while we have your size.
